From Sheri’s Studio….

Fall was so beautiful and very late in Michigan. I always enjoy seeing the spectacular color change and love driving in my van to absorb the scenery. The trees are all bare now and winter chills have already been a tease. The Holidays will come quickly now. My school year seems to be speeding by especially since I did not start out the school year with my students due to a delayed surgery. My recovery has really gone smoothly. I have been so good! I do tire out quickly, so I continue to pace myself and continue to find that tasks take longer to do than I planned.

My "Santa Spoon" and "Santa Gourd Face" is a great addition to any of your baskets. Just slide over the top of the rim. These would also look festive over the branches of your Christmas tree and would make a wonderful Hostess gift.

My "Wrap It Up" holds it all! This is my new gift giving wrap station. Starting out with a wooden oval grooved base, the spokes are inserted to weave this tall framework. A woven pocket is added to store your scissors and binder rings hold the cording for ribbons and scotch tape. Once complete, store your wrapping paper in place; this will store easily behind a door or in a closet.

My gold "Trumpet Time" proclaims the season. Use round reed, vine rattan, or honeysuckle to create these adorable ornaments to hang your tree or add to an evergreen wreath. Leave natural or spray with gold paint for a royal look.

My "Round Carrier" is a very functional year round basket starting out with a square hoop handle; dyed reed is worked into the framework and also the weave. A cane wrap and Winter tie on complete this utilitarian basket-great for rolls, small cross stitch or knitting projects.

Suzanne Moore’s "Cattails" is a beautiful basket starting with a grooved wooden base. A stoneware pottery sleeve with cattails in the design is worked into the front of this wall basket. (Other designs are available.) Fill with mail or a cattail silk floral arrangement like shown here.

"Tote Around Town" also by Suzanne Moore is featured in 2 handle styles. Weave this functional tote by starting out with a wooden base and then choose between fabric or leather handles adding these to the sides of the tote. This one will stand up by itself and either is very sturdy to "Tote Around Town".

Hope this season brings beautiful memories…joyful gatherings…and lasting love. May this Christmas be a wonderful time for everything in your life. Happiness and peace to you and your family this Christmas and in the coming year. Happy Holidays!
