From Sheri's Studio....

Remember all the excitement and hype with the coming of this New Year! The year 2000 has come without incident and is quickly going! I hardly know where the year has gone, time really does fly since this is the last Issue of Just Patterns for 2000.

This Issue embraces Winter with all its glory.

"Sarah's Angel" designed by me is named after my daughter, Sarah and is a great experience in twining. This Angel is the tree topper on our children's Christmas tree.

"Woodland Santa" by Susan Reed-Fanfoni was designed especially for Just Patterns. This back to nature Santa carries his own pine tree and gifts of a teddy bear and grapevine wreath complete with a wooden bird. The rustic stars enhance his overall look with three pine trees woven into his attire.

My "Holiday Wreath" offers a basic lesson in round reed to add to this festive time of the year. A fun project for all ages; trim your tree or your favorite outfit by adding a pin backing.

"The Soap Basket" by Sandy Atkinson is woven completely in round reed. Starting out with a grooved wooden base, round reed is inserted into this base to weave this functional basket and the different designs of soap will welcome any Holiday for you or your guests.

My "Six Pointed Snowflake" is a nice addition to your Christmas tree, package, basket, or window. Use paper thin Ash to form this unique Winter shape.

"Fingertip Tote" by Sherry Sayles has a finished wooden base that is slotted and complete with a heart cutout in the handle. The dyed arrow weave is a unique woven accent to this basket that will hold salt and pepper or use as oil and vinegar.

Happy Weaving!

Sheri Sig
