From Deb's Basket Table.... It's been a snowy, snowy winter for us here in Michigan and spring will be a very welcome sight! I hope you've all had a productive winter, a joyous Easter and are looking forward to spring as much as I am! Vicki Worrell's "Gone Fishing" is a handsome basket for the home or cabin of your favorite fishing enthusiast. The metal fish on the back is complemented by a fishing pole and "stringer" on the front of the basket. A great housewarming gift! "Weaving Stars and Moonbeams" by Diane Langston was inspired by Diane's friend Ruth Ann Long. Be sure to read her touching dedication. This round basket is woven in teal and salmon, with a beautifully painted lid and handle. A real treasure. My "Twill Storage Basket" is a large twill basket perfect for the hearth, or a corner in the family room for dried flowers or as a useful catch-all. The twill pattern can be reversed for more color. Sherry Stephens from "Basket Basics" is sharing two of her patterns in this Spring issue. Both are easy to make, and would be perfect for classes or shows. The "Guardian Angel" wall basket has an angel bear and a prayer written on the hanging stars. So cute as a baby gift or in a child's room. "Faith, Hope and Love" is sure to charm in any home. I know you'll enjoy all of these baskets. Don't forget to also enjoy a long walk, a leisurely dinner, a child's spring recital, a (warm weather) soccer or softball game and Sunday morning church fellowship. Life is good!
