From Sheri's Studio....

For a smooth transition, I have featured baskets from Deb and me on an idea page. Deb Blair's "Idea for your next Nantucket" uses a beautiful cut out wooden base woven in this unique style and is accented with copper foil. My "Egg Shell" Basket is woven in round reed using Vine Rattan for Hoops and all ribs. This egg basket is defined by its shape and has seashells. Seashells, my trademark, cascade around the sides creating the basket's name.

Cris Green's "African Basket" is a unique wall basket that weaves up very quickly; great for last minute gifts and fun to decorate using an assortment of beads. This basket is so useful for holding letters, utensils, tools, flowers, or even a flashlight.

Sharon Mc Elroy's "Worker's Companion" is very large and so functional. Sharon was delighted to have her basket featured in the magazine and hopes you will find many practical uses for this great divided basket.

Pat Levitte's "North Dakota Bucket Purse" is shown in two different sizes. Weave either for day and evening use or as a Mother and Daughter combination. Pat designs her baskets and her brother Bob Teller does her woodworking.

My "Chinese Crown" is so cute and easy, making great addition to everyone's Christmas tree or wreath. This will also make a nice tie-on decorating your Holiday Presents or baskets.

This issue is overflowing with ideas! You should really be inspired to weave these projects for fall classes, holiday shows, Christmas gift giving, or even just for yourself. Enjoy Fall and my first edition of Just Patterns.

Happy Weaving!

Sheri Sig
